
Benedikt Sauer is a young conductor, who is specialized in Italian opera, historically informed performance and German repertoire.
After graduating from Milan Conservatory, he went on to study with various important conductors such as Mikhail Jurowski, Carlo Franci, Oleg Caetani and Riccardo Frizza and has participated in several Masterclasses, i.a. from the Eötvös-Foundation and the Bartók-Festival.
He regulary conducts at important Theaters and Festivals (such as Kurtheater Bad Ems, Eckhof-Theater Gotha, Easter-Festival Kiev and Teatro Nazionale Milano), rehearsing major orchestras and performing various operas, including the Da Ponte operas from Mozart, Rigoletto, Traviata, Nabucco, Don Pasquale and La Bohème.
